EMDR

Who can benefit from EMDR?

Therapists can use EMDR to address challenges such as:

-anxiety/panic attacks -Eating disorders

-depression -Pain

-PTSD and other traumas -childhood trauma

-Abuse, violence, and sexual assault -Grief and loss

What is EMDR and how is it different from other types of therapy?

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and is a highly-researched and recognized treatment method to help clients recover from trauma, and other distressing challenges. The goal of EMDR is to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain that contribute to our current struggles, such as anxiety, panic attacks, relationship conflicts, and depression. EMDR does not involve talking in detail about the trauma, and requires no between-session “homework”. EMDR often requires fewer sessions to resolve distress compared to other psychotherapy models.

What does it cost?

EMDR can be offered through regular 55-minute sessions and will be billed at the same rate. In-network insurance benefits can be used for EMDR sessions.
